Let’s Talk Adaptogens

Eleuthero

If you’re a college student this one may be of interest to you. It’s widely used in Chinese medicine to boost energy and normalize bodily functions. It also has mental benefits such boosting focus, clarity, and memory.

Pollen, Scots Pine, Conifer, Evergreen

Pine Pollen

This one gave me pause because I run screaming in the other direction when I hear about any type of pollen. I am intrigued though because it is a huge source of bioavailable vitamins and minerals. (And as an added bonus is supposedly a pretty potent aphrodisiac.)

Rhodiola Rosea

Appears to be similar to ginseng and ashwagandha in that it also helps with energy and stamina but it has the added benefit of burning belly fat.

Moringa

Shares benefits with pine pollen and also said to increase milk production in lactating mothers.

Maca

Has powerful reproductive benefits for both men and women as it improves sperm production in men and also used for various female hormonal issues. Also goes by the name of Peruvian ginseng.

Shell, Pearl, Valuable, Light, Sand

Pearl

Makes you glow from the inside out due to the amino acids, enzymes, and essential minerals found within. Seems to have similar properties to He Shou Wu.

Mucuna Pruriens

Also known as velvet beet, this adaptogen seems to mimic the properties of Maca in that it bolsters the reproductive functions of both men and women. It also has the added benefits of balancing the nervous and digestive systems.
